Diane Schloegl is acknowledged as a teddy bear artist and designer of her own company, Created from the Heart, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has spoken at seminars to promote her own designs of teddy bears and patterns, and instructed teddy bear making classes using vintage, recycled furs or fabrics that become special family heirlooms.

    After a serious neck surgery, she was limited to making bears for awhile. Eventually she discovered needle felting did not cause too much pain, unless you do happen to stick yourself. Needle felting is very contagious and allows you to invent something new. Diane decided to write a book, though she is not a writer by trade, because of the limited information available. She hopes to assist other needle felters with some of her new techniques.

    Married for 45 years to her husband Mike, they have six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. She also has 10 grandchildren who keep her very busy in between crafting. Diane is proud to be a lifetime member of Good Bears of the World since 1993. Good Bears of the World is a non-profit charitable organization. It is dedicated to extending love and companionship to children of all ages through the giving of teddy bears.
